Iceberg
An iceberg is a large piece of freshwater ice that has broken off from a snow-formed glacier or ice shelf and is floating in open water.

GREENLAND -- An iceberg at the edge of the Baffin Bay's sea ice is just one of the many sights three Airmen from Thule Air Base, Greenland, witnessed recently during a six-day dog-sledding expedition. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Dan Rea).
Icebergs are often a danger to shipping. One of the most famous shipping accidents of all time occurred when a ship called The Titantic hit an ice-berg whilst crossing the Atlantic Ocean and..... sank!
